The film won nine B-class film awards at various festivals around the world and received ten nominations. Among the former were the Discovery Award at the Toronto International Film Festival (2000), the Fipresci prize at the Thessaloniki Film Festival (2000) and the Youth Jury Award at the Locarno International Film Festival (2000).
