In the time of the Covid 19, Goethe Institut in Berlin asked a group of international writers to record a story in their homes, for people who are stuck in their apartments in quarantine, under the hashtag #timetolisten and #zeitzuzuhören. Among the writers invited were Herta Müller, Sofie Oksanen and TC Boyle. Hallgrímur Helgason participated with an old story from his New York years.
