After the publication of his novel “Seasick in Munich”, Hallgrimur Helgason was asked to give a talk at a symposium on sexual abuse — „Heggur sá er hlífa skyldi? Málþing um samfélagslega ábyrgð gagnvart þolendum kynbundins ofbeldis“ — that was held by the University of Iceland at Hotel Reykjavik Natura, November 4th, 2016. Here he talks about his experience of sexual abuse, his experience of writing about it and his experience of publishing it.
